Knee and hip surgery — personalized and shaped by science.
For more than two decades, I have specialized in knee and hip surgery. My training took me to leading orthopedic centers in Switzerland and the United States, including Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Since 2013, I have worked as a self-employed consultant surgeon at Privatklinik Bethanien.
My approach is based on a careful assessment of each patient’s symptoms, structural changes in the affected joint, and individual needs. I then discuss the available treatment options with my patients, including their respective benefits and limitations. Based on this, I develop a treatment strategy tailored to the individual findings and personal goals, aiming for the best possible long-term function and quality of life.
My principal areas of expertise are personalized knee replacement using partial and total knee arthroplasty, minimally invasive hip replacement, and the assessment and treatment of persistent symptoms after knee and hip replacement, including complex revision surgery.
